Who we are
At Child’s Play, we’re proud to serve families in Sheboygan and Kohler, Wisconsin with a safe, nurturing, and state-licensed learning environment where children can grow, explore, and thrive. We provide loving care and engaging educational experiences for children ranging from 6 weeks to 10 years of age — from infant care and preschool to junior kindergarten and dependable childcare programs. We partner with families every step of the way to support each child’s early development, confidence, and curiosity.
Over 35 years of child care experience
Our Story: From One Family to Another
The Foundation
In 1987, Deb Long arrived in Sheboygan County from Pennsylvania with a challenge every parent understands: she couldn't find a child care center that felt like home. As a teacher and a mother of three young sons, she refused to settle. She wanted a space that was professional yet nurturing, safe yet fun—a place where her boys would be loved as much as they were taught.
Out of that personal need, Child’s Play was born. For over 30 years, Deb poured her heart into creating the gold standard for child care in our community.
Continuing the Legacy
In 2026, Deb decided it was time to enjoy a well-deserved retirement and passed the torch to us. As the new owners, Kassie and Steve Gorski, we are deeply honored to carry this mission forward.
While the faces at the front may have changed, the heart of Child’s Play remains exactly the same. We are proud to keep this center family-owned and operated, maintaining the same high standards of excellence that Sheboygan County families have trusted for three decades.
